Horizontal Breathing Air (HBA)

Our open frame, low profile breathing air compressor offers a cost-effective solution for breathing air without compromising on quality, flexibility, or filling capacity. This model incorporates essential compressor features and works seamlessly with the MAKO purification system.

MAKO's MK2C purification system (models HBA04 - HBA06[H]) and MK5C purification system (models HBA07[H] - HBA09[H]) are designed to work seamlessly with MAKO breathing air compressors. These systems feature an industrial-duty 3- or 4-stage compressor block, powered by a NEMA design ODP 1.15 SF electric motor. The open design includes a rugged structural steel frame with a heavy-duty powder coat finish for enhanced durability. Additional compressor features include an auto-drain with a muffler/reservoir system for the collection of condensate and a compact design that ensures a small overall footprint. Anti-vibration mounts and a UL Listed, NEMA 4 electrical enclosure provide further reliability, while the fully automatic control system simplifies operation.

The breathing air compressor features a PLC controller, illuminated on/off push buttons, and an hours-run meter. It is equipped with an emergency stop button, inter-stage and final-stage pressure gauges, and individual shutdown indicators for High Air Temperature, High Air Pressure, and Low Oil Level/Pressure, all integral to the MAKO purification system.

The MK5C or MK10C purification system, which includes models HBA04 - HBA06[H], and the MK10C purification system with models HBA07[H] - HBA09[H], are designed to work seamlessly with breathing air compressors. These compressor features include a diesel or gas engine drive, an integrated or wall-mounted CO & Moisture (CMM) Monitor, a shutdown audible alarm, and a dual pressure switch.
